Barbara S. Clark, owner of An Elegant Affair is one North Carolina’s most respected and experienced wedding planners. She is the only Accredited Bridal Consultant in the greater Raleigh area.
In addition to contributing to wedding related publications such as Real Simple Weddings, Grace Ormond’s Instyle Weddings, Cary Magazine and Southern Bride & Groom to name a few.
Ms. Clark successfully completed and is certified by The Emily Post Institute and is an expert in wedding etiquette and especially the modern rules of etiquette.

It is as simple as Edie loves to help people! From her very first job at 15 years old until now, she have enjoyed serving others. Adding to that love, her greatest passion in life – helping people transition into the next phase of their lives ~ all while bringing out their true self in a unique and creative way, well she am in heaven! Edie strives to deliver each bride the wedding day of her dreams. She loves the romance, dresses, pearls and everything else that is symbolic to having a successful wedding.
Edie hold a BA degree in Psychology from Meredith College, as well as, a NC real Estate Broker License. She enjoys family, friends, working out, reading, politics and pageants. She is active in local politics, is a preliminary judge for Miss North Carolina and a member of the Miss Capital City Board. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, Billy.
