Barbara S. Clark, owner of An Elegant Affair is one North Carolina’s most respected and experienced wedding planners. She is the only Accredited Bridal Consultant in the greater Raleigh area. In addition to contributing to wedding related publications such as Real Simple Weddings, Grace Ormond’s Instyle Weddings, Cary Magazine and Southern Bride & Groom to name a few. Ms. Clark successfully completed and is certified by The Emily Post Institute and is an expert in wedding etiquette and especially the modern rules of etiquette.

Ms. Herring has been working with An Elegant Affair for almost 5 years. Her background in graphic design and her work at The News & Observer where she designed their White Lace Wedding Magazine, has made her a valuable asset to our organization. Ms. Herring’s design experience helps her bring unique touches to her brides’ weddings.
Ms. Herring is extremely detailed-oriented and loves planning a good party! She leaves no detail to chance. She knows the importance of the bride’s wedding day and works hard to make the process fun and effortless.

As the wedding planner for Hornblower Cruises and Events in San Diego, CA; Ms. David has planned over 150 weddings as well as corporate functions, sporting events and personal gatherings. She has planned weddings on elegant yachts, both antique and modern and she was in charge of weddings at the historic site The Abbey.
Ms. David brings her expertise to all of her weddings embracing each wedding as new and unique. She works hard to help each couple bring their vision to reality with grace, creativity and style.
